Communication
Effective communication between director, students and parents is essential to the smooth, effective operation of our program. These methods of communication will assist all involved in reaching the common goals of excellence in music education.
Outgoing
In addition to class announcements and posted notices in the band room, the following correspondence can be expected:
- Notification of concerts and other important events will be given to the students well in advance.
- Important information should be copied into student agendas.
- Emails from the Director
- Announcements added regularly through the My eClass Student Portal, Google Classrooms, and ParentSquare.
Incoming
Parents may reach me by phone or e-mail. E-mail addresses are: jordan.romo@gcpsk12.org (No period at the end). I check my e-mail every couple of hours. The school phone number is (770) 972-1506. You may leave a message on the voice mail. Please be sure to include the student’s name on any correspondence, particularly e-mail. Phone messages will generally be returned within 24-48 hours if they are a local area code. Parents may also send written communication with their students. The students may drop this letter in the “Notes from Home” box on the wall just inside the band office.
